What does a ballkid do?

Ballkids play an integral role in ensuring that tennis tournaments run smoothly.

Throughout the Australian Open series, each ballkid is a focal part of every game, be it at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne or at other events in other states.

Who can be a ballkid?

We encourage people from diverse backgrounds to apply as we want our ballkids to represent the diversity of our communities.

AO25 ballkids must be 12 to 15 as of 31st December 2024 to be eligible for selection.


*  Brisbane Tennis, and Sydney Tennis and Perth Tennis Ballkids age category is 12 to 16.



How do I apply?

You can register by completing the form below. By registering for the Ballkid Program you are indicating that you would like to be considered to participate in the Australian Open, Australian Open Series and Pro Tour Events across Australia.

Please note that trials and training sessions are held in each events home state e.g. AO training will be held in Victoria. If you select event outside your home state you are acknowledging that there will be a requirement to travel.
